That would be nice, but it seems unlikely. Whoever own the assets of the game now seems mostly interested in beating a dead horse.

I wish they brought back the old rpg system with distributing stat points, also that main menu with the gate in the old version looked nice. I like the spawn system in this game, can keep you on your toes with surprises. Its too bad it had alot of bugs at least the older game. It does feel like it have potential to be a good game with a remake, and some developer imagination. Old game had some unique stuff going for it that i did not see back then at the time. I dont feel like this game should get too streamlined with its features and systems

I would like to play the original at some point, or would collectors edition be better?

Collector's edition fixes a number of issues. It is really just a 5th major patch for the game. It is much more of the game they likely intended to release. It still has major issues, but not nearly as many as versions 1.0 through 1.4.

I highly recommend using the Dungeon Lords Game Editor, which allows you to edit your save game, game version 1.4 or 1.5C, and fix your game when it bugs out. There is only one thing to remember when using this editor, you want to put your total experience in the "Advance" box, and leave the "Experience" box empty. Apparently somehow they got reversed in the code for the editor. You need to do this regardless of whether you intend to alter your experience or not.

The later editions, like collectors editions, i guess. The original had alot of bugs, but the later editions remaking the game starts to stray from what i usually played on a demo version back in the day as a kid but it gets increasingly more playable without bugs. The older version is rougher in the start since you need to allocate manually on right stats so it gets easier to start out, otherwise as a fighter for example goblins and enemies will deflect your attacks 90% of the time if you just pumped alot of stats into str and vit. Dex and agility is very important in this to hit enemies more and get hit less. Nothing stops you from trying out the different versions though

Despite being so buggy and stuff i got really interested in it, and have been since because there was just something great about it. I dunno if the collectiors edition fixed playing with the big orc looking guys, urgoth or something, since i remember in one of the versions, when your going to a tower out on a lake his model wont fit the opening to it since its too small lol.

I usually play as dwarf in the game. My brother were also interested in it so we tried to coop through the game through a virtual lan program called hamachi, and thats kind of the ultimate challenge, since alot can go wrong cause of bugs or otherwise xD

A sequel named "The Orb and the Oracle" was planned, but cancelled. There were a handful of art assets and screen shots available for a brief while. This is still one of my favorite RPG games. I would buy another remaster or sequel.

I thought this WAS the remaster xD it's nothing like the original. Even menus are different. In the original, we could STRAFE. Cannot in this steam "remaster".

You mean this is the old version? Better gameplay and more bugs? If it will be patched, it would be awesome.
