Council of Stones

I've just gotten the password to get past the stones in the southern part of the forbidden lands. Problem is that the game won't let me talk with the actual stones themselves to give them the password. Now I can't progress at all.

I'm pretty much stuck here. Anybody run into something like this and is there any way to fix it?

Make sure you've triggered everything needed for quest progress. gamebanshee has a walkthrough.

I've done everything I could up to this point and have followed the walkthrough closely to this point. I've already done every other dungeon and have every relic except the last one. I gave Vartugg back his eye and he gave me the password "irynthabl" to get past the stones.

Only the stone on the right lights up while the one on the left doesn't. I can't talk with either to continue.

Edit: All four relics have been placed in Talendor as well.

"Note: Only two of the stone heads will "light up" when you approach. You'll have to talk to the one on the left. If the game doesn't allow this, move away to the west for a few seconds. Then when you return, interact with the stone head while it is talking to you, and you should be able to talk to it."

Tried it for about half an hour with no results before giving up. Neither stone talks when I approach it and I can somehow target the one on the left as if it's an enemy.

I'll try mountain climbing it and hopefully get through.

It worked! Mountain climbing near the shrine in the most southern part of the forbidden lands let me cross over. Thanks for the help!
