It's a fun little deck-building game. The premise is certainly inspired by a particular movie, but this game manages to make it work quite well for an indie title that is still in early access. :) It's still a little bit rough around the edges but holds great potential. It might lack in the storytelling department, but it makes up for it with a nice atmosphere, humor, and deck + lore collecting. I especially enjoyed the real-life photos attached to some of the collections, I hope the devs add more over time. Recommended!

I don't understand where all this positivity comes from. The game is terribly boring, the cards you get for an hour do nothing but damage or heal. A large part of the game is useless, after every battle you have to walk around the museum looking for enemies. Many levels are disgustingly long.

Its a decent card battler. Graphics are fairly well done with some animations during battles. Cards are nice to look at. The presentation isn't that great but this is an indie title. Music and sound effects are below average. All in all though, if you enjoy deck building card battlers, it worth trying this out.

Museum Mystery is a decent card battle game that I enjoyed more than I expected, because to be honest I am not that fan of the genre. The game looks pretty decent for a free indie game. The gameplay is decent and the cartoonish art style and graphics are pretty OK.
I nice freebie to add to me collect, and it will be even perfect if you like deckbuilding card games.

The game has a lot of bugs and balancing to fix.
There is no option for button settings, and they could only do with a mouse and not buttons.
If you start a territory, the only way out is with a loss. If you press escape before losing, you can start the battle again.
Some of the cards don't work properly as well as the balance.
The enemy can become 3 to one and can always increase his blood plus more bonuses that you cannot.
Each action is the same no matter what card you use.
It's like a new age unlocks stronger and new cards, even the second age has protection, but the enemy is also increasing in every respect, giving too much.
The story doesn't seem to be complete and the many limitations in the game make you grind a lot.
Many things are not well thought out, they could have put a map.
In the levels it is the same battle or not and main tasks nothing else.
Battles get boring pretty quickly.
Maybe if it passes the early access I would give it a chance but now it is bare bones.
There are many more bugs.

I like it. Great art and the card synergize in fun ways. It gets repetitive pretty quickly like all these roguelike card games though.

It pains me a bit but there is no way around giving this a "please leave it alone until the devs set things right":
Two main reasons:

- having cleared Aegypt and Roman period, i was led to go European middle ages next. Cool cool. But the big glowy door to Aegypt is pretty tempting, so i stepped in real quick. Aaaaand i'm hardlocked into completing Aegypt again. Game already auto-saved, door is closed without way back. So i had to go through all the walking simulator that already isn't theeeee strongest aspect of the game kinda, while also clearing away completely meaningless fights. It's cool that i can get cards from Aegypt that way if i want some, but ... ye ...
=> Open the door back OR put a "warp to lobby" option that can even remove all progress to be fair or whatevs OR have multiple autosave slots that cycle. Any of those will do it.

- Secondly, the third boss, Arthur, is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The fact that he cleanses ALL your buffs on every attack is completely unprecedented in the game. No warning whatsoever. Having built a completely OP Deck that revolves around multiple buff cards (+dmg per buff, heal on attack, 1x5 attack cards basically) surfing through the game kinda chill and then meeting a Boss that basically just tells me "no, we don't do that here" is .... lame as hell. Killed my desire to play the game from 100 to 0. I could probably have managed if he cleansed only one random buff per attack or had a conditional cleanse or something and it would have been an interesting encounter. But this fight was lost before the fight began, basically before i entered the museum even, and that is horrible game design.

It's possible i'll reconsider this review in the future as the game does have potential. The museum theme is cool and the cards are okay. No complaints about the price either, obviously :P
