Pretty much the same type of gameplay, other than that you can tilt your panel in Kalpa. It's easier for the eyes but if you're used to other rhythm games which is more vertical drops of notes, it takes a little bit to adjust. The panel tilt makes it about 60 degrees rather than your normal 90. Otherwise, it's another variety of songs from other rhythm games lol
They've been adding songs for free though, with each story update. Newest update got some good tracks so that was nice. Not sure if they'll add more songs as paid DLC later on or not, so far the base game is getting updated for free.
as for 2, I would assume you could do it offline. Haven't tried it yet
Thank you for the info. I ended up getting it. The songlist is quite nice. I find the timing more lenient, compared to other VSRGs. But of course, that's where Lunatic steps in.
To be fair, I don't really consider the "Story mode". My argument would be that I didn't come here to sit through visual novels (feel free to call me an ignorant). On the other hand, I have to unlock the rest of the songs somehow.
I agree with the storymode, not really a visual novel person and well I just kind of tried it out for the heck of it anyway. Songs and gameplay are most important
