black screen on start

need help, when I start the game, theres black window and nothing happens. tried diferent compatibility modes, wont't help. windows 8 x64, gtx560 card
any suggestions?

Hi, just desktop monitor, native 1360x768. also tried to install older versions of directx 8 and 9, won't help either. maybe app is trying to run under intel's cp graphics?

So you have two graphic cards running simultanoiusly? Is Intel's cp your primary display card in windows. TG uses primary screen in windows.

checked, gtx is primary card for display. so the problem somewhere else

pls open tg.ini in root of your installation folder of TG. Just use a normal texteditor.
below [DISPLAY] you will find line like 0:Mode0=1024x768x16x60:1. Pls remove all lines with XxYx16. Save and try again. Do you know refresh frequency of your monitor?

Tried, wont work. Frequency is 60Ghz. Also in this file there is lines: Device1="AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series"
Device2="AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series"; if it matters.
EDIT: tried without them, won't help either

I also have this problem. Screen Resolution - 1366x768 (laptop), the game runs on a Nvidia graphics card. Proposed method does not work. Watching the process in Task Manager, noted that the game takes the RAM to about 29 megabytes, and then freezes.

Same problem here i just get the black screen after launching the game, resolution 1920x1080 Nvidia gt 430, i have Windows 7 x64 bit

I have connected the laptop to my TV (resolution 1920x1080) and the game worked, but I met a problem with displaying Cyrillic (as this man: http://steamcommunity.com/app/271370/discussions/0/613935404057055014/ . If that, in English, it looks something like "eumupeyeche bvsuchvn" - absolutely not clear). Switched to the English game, launched, changed the screen resolution to 1366x768x32x60, disconnect from TV - still black screen.

I Just purchased the game and when i click to play on Steam. I get a blank screen, sounds similar so some of the other threads on here.
I have a Nvidia GT 750M
Looking forward to when you guys can sort out the issue.
