Train Station Issues

I'm having trouble adding more than 1 train station. I continually get the 'building not possible' message. I'm trying to put the stations in good places and I have no money issues. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do? Thanks.

after you place your first station you have to have a connection to it from the other stations to be able to build them. a station always has to be built on a connection from the first or any other station already built. It is an intended feature not a bug.

Thanks for the info. So are you saying - build the first station, then build the tracks, then I can build a 2nd station which will then connect to the 1st one?

yes. after you place the first station you can place the second but make the track planning to link them first. aka build everything before pressing the "approved"/"build" button. It's a wee bit weird, it adds a bit of difficulty but it is more satisfying when you develop your railroads further and look at them due to the extra planning involved

I've had trouble with this back then, too. Completely and utterly useless feature \o/
BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION! Make sure you have built (confirmed with the green button) everything in the building menu, then just select the station and HOLD DOWN ENTER while clicking the station where you want it. Instantly built!

It isn't a useless feature. It was intended to force you to have a full realistic-ish railroad system that connects the whole world.

As an interesting asidde, you can make an unconnected network. Just delete the connecting track once the two sections are built! :D

Hold "enter" and place a train station. This is how you can place much more easy a unconnected train network.
