NVIDIA GPU problems...

I have the non steam version of this so called "gem".I bought it about 10 years ago.Unfortunatelly for me I prefer Nvidia gpu instead of Amd wich is in this case a big problem.
Since it`s released ( 2002 ) the game got this issue: it`s not compatible with the Nvidia cards at all.There is a test program just before you start the game and I failed every single time(since 2005 I`ve got 4 pcs and 2 laptops all with different Nvidia cards)If you lucky you can start the game,but it will crashes every time.I only was able to play with it on my cousin`s pc (he`s got an Amd gpu).No matter what the developers saying,they won`t fix this problem.They had 13 years to do that.Liars.
At the other hand it`s a really enjoyable game,I like management sims,my favourite one is transport tycoon deluxe.If you like this genre and you`ve got the "right" Gpu you won`t regret it.

To be honest, I dont have any problems with this game. And I have a NVidia GeForce GTX 760 from EVGA.

I have 550Ti and it works but occassionally everything on map dissappears. I have to alt-tab it to bring objects back. Not sure why that happens or how to fix it...

Maybe you should stop trying to sound like a conspiracy theorist, put down the tin foil hat and ask for some support help instead of trying to play the fearmonger card. It's the fast way to ridicule and a swift ban...

GTX 970 runs the Gold version of this game on Win 7 64 bit

I can confirm that in the past this game has been really hard to get working on most of the computers I tried it on. I've spent hours and hours trying to get it to work on my previous PC. On another quite recent computer it worked fine. I don't know if the Steam version is modified to get rid of the problems in any way, but I surely hope so. I found the game to be a great sim-game :D Right on par with Traffic Giant.

I do, but mine is working (not steam edition though)

I have win 8.1 64bit and GTX 670 and couldnt play, graphik card not compatible is popup window from IG 2 add on ---- anybody could help me???

Steam version has some sort of compatability patches to make the game run on modern OS's. Myself and many people who couldn't get it running can now but only for the steam version.

I have original cd, also purchased from GOG website.
Best game EVER.
Also i had similar problem like Grimm, but there is a simple fix.

GOG does not have Industry Giant 2

Also, the steam version of the game just has the NVIDIA mod slapped onto it with a fex fixes
