This vs IG II Gold Edition?
Why should I buy this rather than the Gold edition that is only 9.99 Euros from other distributors?

What does it have that makes it worth it?

The Gold Edition is v 2.1 and runs on Windows 7 64 bit @ 1024x768 resolution

Is this version any better?

There is no reason to buy this instead of gold edition, unless you really really REALLY want steam cloud...just go for the gold edition.

cool, and it's 5 euros cheaper elsewhere

Yeah no reason?
HD Resolution with 1920x1080 @60 is no reason for you?

One question. This IG 2 have the Add-on (Gold Edition?) or only base game?

Thanks

Has the Gold edition add-on, yes.
Has higher resolution support. Although not all resolutions (doesn't have 2560x1440 in my case).
According to another post here, it works on newer versions of Windows (7 and above) where the one available at Gamers Gate, for example, for $9.90 doesn't work.
I'm not having any problems (after disabling Steam overlay) and am enjoying this game quite a bit.

The one on Gmers Gate works on Windows 7, can't speak for 8 or 10

Granted, it has a higher resolution. FPS doesn't matter too much in this kind of game since you aren't relying on things like iFrames etc. in the way you do with a fighting game or brawler. Although it is nice to have a higher FPS it isn't affecting the game in any real regard, so I do not see that as a major selling point for this title.
Since this version however does not have the expansion it is simply a cut down version of a 12 to 13 year old game. Because of that I simply cannot recommend this game over the gold edition edition.

Gold edition for itself even retail I'm not sure if runs on modern systems. There are community patches (i've personally compiled them) that you'd have to apply anyway. There's also a community mod that adds extra stuff but steam might not like those unknown extra files on the install folder. FPS aren't even a question for this game, it was 30fps 13 years ago and it still is. As for resolution it might not have 1080 but I think it has 720 or 900 which is just fine considering these remasters all they do is increase resolution capability not improve textures/graphics.

It'll definitely break the cache verification system but yeah should work.

Do you need the expansion? For what?

Only because you can get a not working version, on newer computer, cheaper then the one on steam?

I have the not working version original (Normal + Gold Edition) on CD but i bought this one because it is working without any problem and without compatibility mode on Windows 95/98 or setting up a virtual machine to run it

The one on Gamers Gate is a working version (Win 7) with the add-on.
