unfortunately, every crap game in the mid 90-s to 2000's had tycoon at the end of the name and killed the genre i suppose.
We've got games like Factorio, Big Pharma, (Theme) Parkitect and such making their way towards release, as well as established series that haven't died yet. Tropico 5 anyone?
I could say the same for literally any tycoon or building game in existence.
