Patch 1.06?

Is it possible to patch the Steam version 1.0 with the retail patch 1.06?? Seems funny that Steam is not using the up to date patch.

I havent tried it. But I'm mad they use version 1.00. Theres a lot of fixes and enchancements that came later in the patches. One of them is you can hit TAB while constructing to change the direction a building faces. Thats extremely useful for every faction. Lets you get your vehicles out safely or fit stuff in dense areas that it wouldnt normally go into.
If Steam wont update and I cant get the manual patch to work, I may just install the DVD version again and run it that way.

i tried, and after patching it required the CD to play..although didnt try. I will also revert to CD version to play
