Yes. I think of it as cheating, it's an RTS. If you haven't the time to scurry around, build troops, place those defending RPGs and paladins, than sir, you're losing. But yes, you may pause, send orders, and when you unpause, they will all play out.

Although, I don't see why you oppose the notion of active pause with RTS, they are one and belong with each others. Since Total Annihilation.

Well, actually, you can't pause and issue orders, I just tested it.

Wow although it's years later. That's probably the douchebaggiest comment I've seen in a long time. RTS, the S stands for stragegy. And the RT for real-time. But that only refers to how both parties (armies) act. A game of chess, where everyone gives orders and THEN all orders are done the same time (so not 1 turn after another but both at the same time) would also be an RTS.

Yet nobody claims its cheating that you actually think before doing a move in chess. Or would claim.

You knew when you posted literarry NOTHING about OP. Not if he is maybe playing while watching his kids and constantly pauses the game. Maybe he simply likes it slow and a lot games don't allow slow modes. Or he even could be HANDICAPPED and not be able to keep up "with the speed the developers thought thats good".

You basically told someone who's puzzling for himself alone at home. That he is a looser / bad at puzzling because he keeps the box around with the image. He's not playing competitive or anything. Just a person doing a single player campaign in an RTS game.

People like you. Pushing out such random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comments when someone asks basic questions .. is the main problem with the steam forums and why they are not used much.

Over the years I've seen so many absurd comments. Same class as yours. when it comes to RTS games. Not every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in life is a competition even if your daddy told you otherwise. And just because someone likes to pause a game, overthink his turns and then continue. He's not bad at that game. He's not a looser. He's not cheating.
