is there an intended difficulty?
is there an intended difficulty?
like what is supposed to be the "normal" difficulty?
also does the difficulty go up by its self or what?

Since we can change the difficulty at the start of the game between 0-10, I'd say "medium" would be 5. Difficulty technically goes up by the incremental increase of customer traffic.

That being said, I've been playing on difficulty 10 since the beginning of the game, and I couldn't imagine anything less.

As for the difficulty increasing, foot traffic steadily goes up the more days you play, and with more customers, more trash and more chances for thieves increases with that. Customers will also tend to buy more items the more different kinds of things you stock, but once you unlock something, they will always want that thing immediately in stock when you have it unlocked, and when you run out, there will be issues.

Plus, every Thursday prices will change for any product you have had unlocked for more than a week. They tend to increase more often than decrease, but this means that the products themselves cost more to stock too, although this is generally not an issue.

Customers buying more things in general also means that you will need to restock more frequently and in greater volumes, requiring more employees. Selling more products also makes checkout lines slower.
