Linux Video Browser Issue

I'm aware that this game primarily targets windows but as of now on Linux under Proton the video screens do not work, anyone know of a way to resolve this? Maybe something with Protontricks? Game is fantastic other than that small issue though!

Could you specify that are video screens? Do you mean Youtube, etc in the browser? We are waiting for a license for proper file distribution that would fix that, but until then... some videos work some others not

Hey, I'm seeing that license message on the left screen but I believe this is a different issue. The right monitor in the cool person room is black no matter what, can't search or anything and all I'm seeing are the Ui buttons at the top (X, Door, toggle switch, etc) whereas my friend can look up sites on Windows. I have a feeling it's likely a proton issue with the built in browser but no idea how to remedy atm. Thank you so much for the reply!

Ahh yes, you should see a browser and yes it might be because Linux. I remember one of the testers played the game with Proton/Linux, I'll see if he can check it.

i'm on a steam deck and got the dlc primarily to watch things on the tv, only for it to not work as a browser bc steam decks are linux :( my browser is always a black or white screen

Haven't forgotten about this, actually in the last patch there was a hidden value for the Browser setting in options prepared for Linux-only, we just need to search more extensively a solution that supports it as the two main Unity browser assets don't seem to work with Linux.

(PD: also got a Deck recently to test this when possible)
