Check these points first to see if they help you regarding joining lobbies. Some players managed to solve the joining issue by checking these points:
- Make sure to remove any mods if you use any, it's easy for any weekly update to break them.
- They had a firewall (Windows one ) or antivirus (especially Avast or Norton) which somehow block the game's correct communication with Steam. Adding the game to exceptions worked in some cases.
- They were using a VPN and it was messing with the game communication with Steam.
- In a few cases, verifying the game's files with Steam helped.
