How many shelves per product?
Just curious how people approach the product shelving in solo player? When I say shelf, I mean 1 section, not an entire shelving unit with 4 sections.

I tend to have 2 shelves for most early items, except the stuff that fits hundreds on shelves like salt etc. 2 pasta, 2 rice, 2 cereal, 2 upvc milk, 2 water etc.

I find it's more efficient to not have to restock in the middle of the day or use storage space, just keep it on the shop floor.

there is no such a things as strategic way xD, what i did the stuff that is on shelves in low quantities like diapers, higienic papers, beer barrels and potato bags i used all 4 and the storages i made a shelf for each one with 10 box each so u restock it on longer time frames on contrast like pasta 2/3 are enough since 1 box fill the shelf salt and thing with over 100 one is enough that was my way so i could lazy the days out XD
high quantity i stored 2 boxes 5 for medium and 10 low

I just noticed a lot of people saying they use 1 shelf for some products but when they say 1 shelf, they are talking about 1 shelving UNIT which is 4 shelves to my english interpretation, which feels overkill for single player on early products. Obviously I'm sure it changes in late game.
depends on how big the products are
If they are tiny they go on the Half shelves
If they are Huge (Potato Bag, Barrels of Alcohol, Tissues), they go on the normal size shelves 2 shelves each

I try to have a minimum of 30 per item on the shelves, whether needing to be spread over an entire rack like TPs or squeezed into a half shelf like salt. I found that 30 is a good balance for maximum difficulty and six restockers utilizing unlabeled shelves without any of the items going out of stock at any given point of time, though some items do come close to that.

I know you are asking about shelves, but having 100 stock of each item in storage also means you don't need to buy anything for the entire day, letting you AFK.
30 Barrels of Beer?!?!
Thats like 6 per shelves
So your telling me you have 5 shelves of just 1 product?

I put 1 shelf = 1 product. Trying complete only 1 furniture with 4 shelves with only 1 product is unthinkable for me in early. Maybe later yes.
