Will there be a splitscreen or local co-op mode?

My little brother is really interested in this game and he would love to play it with me but he doesn't have a computer of his own. I am just curious if there are any intentions of adding a local way to play with keyboard and controller.

It's quite unlikely, it would virtually multiply the amount of stuff to render and there's already lots of stuff going on in a single machine... especially if it's the host
