Order stock directly from stock room.

I have a very efficient full stockroom. (day 140.. so quite far in) the restocking process for me is super slow. As you can imagine the stockroom is at max capacity in terms of size and im able to fit 4 boxes of every product in storage. so my process of refilling stock is.

into stock room > memorise some boxes i need > back to managers board > order said stock > into stock room > memorise some boxes i need > back to managers board > order said stock rinse and repeat.

if we had a tablet or stock gun that we can take with us into the stock rooms and order product whilst assessing it, this would be amazing. I play solo so this is a lengthy process at the end of each working day

they are aware. many users have made similar suggestions. Know they are finishing rework of employees this week which I hope corrects this slightly. maybe in future a better system for boxes to be stored. Feel like that is best course of action for game.

I used to do that memorize also in the beginning, but as my stock did grow it was getting harder and made me run back and forth many times, so now I just use my system:
As I have color coded product type shelves I just go to store room after restocking is complete and use shift+win+s to take screenshot of shelf(s) I need, paste it on my other computer screen/private discord channel, so I can see it there and then go to managers board to order all that are empty or near empty. Have all employees in storage shop and stock is full in no time again!

I’m even more OCD than this. I have my stock in complete order to the management board. And I have 4 of every item. So I just write down how many of each I need to get back to 4 of everything.

It still takes time and effort, such as your screenshots, running back and forth. Imagine a tablet you can just take in with you and order as you’re standing infront of the shelves. Ez :)

I might not understand this cause I am not far enough in, but can't you see the amount of product in the store, boxes and storage? Am I not understanding the problem or did they implement that literally yesterday? :D

I order straight from the management board as I am able to work out how many boxes i have or need by working it out. You have the figures on the board.

Im using a mod to do this at the moment. By scanning a product or product box with the scanning tool it puts it in your cart makes managing stock easier. BetterSMT is the name of it. You'll have to configure it to your needs. (works in mp if friends join) I am positive we'll see it as a feature in a coming QOL update.

until you're really far in and have an absolute ton of stock you wont understand this pain. the board doesnt tell you how many boxes you have in stock, only total amount. so unless you have a notepad with calculations of how many is in every single box.. its pure guess game.

right.. now do it with x4 of every single product with 700+ boxes :) this 'i can do it approach' is very very boring. its a suggestion to make it easier. im glad you can math. here... have a medal :)
