Red Button below Cash Register

In Supermarket Together, I´ve noticed that below the cash registers of the game are red buttons that can only be pressed by the party leader and since this is me, I´ve pressed this a couple of times but I dont know what it does.. Could someone explain?

Patchlog 4. of december:
"- Implemented a red button below checkouts that should reset and help in the reported cases of stuck customers normally due to a desync in high latency players. Only should be used in those cases as a last resort by the host as they can mess a lot with the particular pressed checkout."
