Storage Benefits - Suggestion
Hello, I think storage is something that is NEVER run during a live shift, making it very weak compared to other positions. I have some suggestions to improve it and benefit the player experience.

- Replacing used stock - when a box is emptied and/or thrown away by an employee, getting it ordered/delivered right away would make a storage employee tremendously more helpful to have during a live shift. This is not possible to do manually due to the sheer quantity of moving product and so refilling storage naturally waits until the end of shift for those who carefully manage inventory, creating a very long wait for everybody. Adding this feature would make an incredible difference and is the largest inspiration for this post.

- Handling the disposal of empty boxes rather than restockers - in the retail industry you often have staff specifically assigned the job of collapsing and disposing boxes so that they can free the restockers up to focus on, well, restocking. If restockers simply dropped empty boxes in storage, storage employees can handle the task of recycling them, making them more impactful and reducing the infamous restock time.

- Reprioritizing which unlabeled shelf to put a product in. The order of priority should be:
1. Matching, empty labeled shelves, nearest to farthest.
2. Empty unlabeled shelves, nearest to farthest.
3. Unassigned labeled shelves, nearest to farthest.

- Condensing inventory - if two boxes of the same product are partially filled, storage should combine them to have one box as full as possible. Restockers should ALWAYS prioritize the least filled box when they have multiple to choose from. Storage should condense inventory when they have no new boxes to place or empty boxes to recycle.

Regarding XP benefits:

- Moving faster
- Carrying multiple boxes of the same product.
- Earning bigger rewards for recycling.
- Driving the vehicle at progressively faster speeds - may I suggest an exterior lane added between the DLC room and storage so that the vehicle is easier to use effectively?
- Learning to help with restocking when storage has run out of tasks.

Hopefully you find some of this suggestions helpful. Thank you so much for this fantastic game and all the hard work!

The issue I see with the restockers and emptying boxes is...if there's few left to do and more than one box, two employees will get those two boxes, then it's really a race to restock them. They will sometimes restock them at the same time.

So not only does the partial box need to be prioritized for use, but the others recognise when another has a box of that item out already and skip that task for the next one. Sometimes they WILL condense boxes but not always.

i dont know if i read this wrong, but i do hope that no AUTOMATION gets heavily added into the game, as i can see why the game has its storage/box's and ordering them the way they are, as it kinda feels like a simulator in a way, and having it automated wouldn't feel enjoyable in my opinion, i've actually loved the BUY ALL button though, for whichever current product tab you are on, which throws 1 of every item [IN THAT TAB] into the order list, so i just go through and order one of everything, and have alot of my employees bring them in to stock the empty shelves i have.

i still would like some systems though which would be things like [if your shelves IN THE STORE, was holding 4 of the SAME TYPE of product, there would be a BOOST in Sales when they are purchased at the counter]

its weird, but basically saying the normal shelves, freezers, fridges, ect...if they have all of there shelves with the same TYPE of product [could basically look at BOX COLOR] then it would boost the sales, this would actually encourage making specific area's in the store with the same stuff. xD

Fridges with like 5 different soda would be boosted
Fridges with only Meat on all 5 shelves, Ect
Just try your best to use each shelf with all different product of the same TYPE xD

I don’t disagree. I think employees being able to “communicate” would help. That said, usually there are SO many products needing restocked that restockers don’t usually bump into each other, except for when they’re nearly finished and there are few products left to stock.

Unfortunately, the BUY ALL button has limited functionality. When you’re at the end game, hitting BUY ALL will result in increasing amounts of unused excess products taking up space in storage while others run low. You’ll have too much of some products and not enough of others. It’s not as simple as hitting BUY ALL at the end of each day and going. Instead, you want to maintain a certain number of boxes or a certain amount of product to ensure you can’t run out during a live shift and you keep that extra amount in storage as a buffer to keep things stocked until the end of shift. Unfortunately, it creates a very, very time consuming process.

love the automation resupply idea ^-^ could make it an option for those who want to use it. an on and off button.

That’s a great idea. Would also help when we need to reorganize and so we would need to pause the ordering.
