Confused About Sales Being Added
Having sales is an obvious thing that stores have. Not denying that.. but what would be the point of having them here? If the customers are already willing to pay up to 199% of the base price for literally everything, why would I want to sell it to them for less? What benefit does having an item on sale have that would make it more profitable when compared to the 199% they are already willing to pay?

In real life, I can understand sales can attract new customers and promote more purchases of said item. They are also a good way of clearing excess inventory, but in a game with NPCs that have no "emotions", is there a system in place that will bring more customers in for sales?

Just wondering.

I've put the consoles on sale at 45% where i am getting a 50$ profit. I've sold like triple of them. It's also a good way to get rid of stock that you have too much of

Indeed having something on sale adds a chance for the customers to expand their shopping list. If you have 7 sales going on, there's a nice chance a customer will grab 2 or 3 additional products so it's always a win...

interesting. I'll have to try it and see how it works out. Thanks for the response.

Let's see If I understand this:

Customer buys wine for $60, originally $100, on sale at 40% off.
Same customer buys 3 more items at $20 each that they wouldn't have originally purchased, totaling $60.
$60 + $60 = $120
Therefore that customer paid $20 more than he/she would have if there was no sale.

This shopping list, when is it determined? Would store layout make customers change their list, or are sales the only way?
I thought I read about the lists in the patch notes and how different NPCs had different lists but didn't grasp any details.
