How can I close the store?

The red button next to the green one doesn't work. I've tried left-clicking and pressing F. It's like midnight in the game and the shelves are almost empty but I've got no time to resupply.

midnight? not 10:30? maybe its 12 noon..?

No more customers should spawn when the time reaches 22:30 (or 10:30 PM for those not using 24-hour clocks). That is the only time when the red button does the End Of Day bit. So far, I've not had any problems and I've gone through about 45 game days currently in my game.
