Can't get the TV URL to work?

I have the cool stuff DLC, but I can't get the stuff to change what the TV shows to work. How exactly does it work? Do I need a specific video format? Can it only do URLs from online?
Please clarify how this works. I wanted to scare my friends with Salad Fingers during our next shift. QwQ

Apart from the directory you need to make it end in the video file name and its format (p.e. D:/MyVideosFolder/ThisVideo.mp4) Plenty of formats are supported but there could be some that are not.

Btw, local videos are not synced for now until we revisit the TVs behaviors and ponder about how to reduce both the network and CPU load that this feature would imply. If you want to watch party something you can use the browser mode of TVs and use a webpage like watch2gether or similar (there are many options)

Ah, okay! Thank you so much for getting back to me. I hope y'all are able to figure out how to sync videos. I'd love to be able to surprise my friends with things like Salad Fingers or even Llamas With Hats.
Really looking forward to seeing what features you'll add. This game is a lot of fun!
