How does the storage employee work?

i think its broken right now, i set them to storage and they kept putting the boxes where existing stock was and they lost all my ♥♥♥♥

From what I can tell, since the update the storage workers are only putting what you have set in the storage already. So if you have a new product and there's no empty storage that's pre-assigned then they won't work. So they basically only move pre existing assigned products so I hope they fix it because it's really annoying to me that I have to move the boxes myself and they restock because I have a system of stocking and they're just moving it where there's an empty shelf lol. Hope that helps though.

My Storage worker use to work before this update but agree, something must be wrong because I cant even get her to move now. If I change her to something else though she has no problem

it seems they wont move if all the places on the shelves have been assigned? i just placed a new empty shelf and tehy did their work. put things in their assigned spot etc. Ive been revamping my storage system all day so hopefully tehy work now that every item in store has an assigned spot.

Yeah, putting workers on 'Storage' is broken. The workers will only place newly ordered stock onto unreserved shelves in the storage room. so if you've spent a lot of sorting the storage room out, you have to move a new order in manually. Needs fixing ASAP.

It is not quite clear because the logs aren't officially out (they can be checked in the pinned topic though) but you can clear storage spots by right clicking them with the pricing tools. In the long run we expect these changes to better sort the game's storage.
