How many registers?

Was just looking to start re-laying and setting up my store for end-game now that I have everything unlocked. I was curious how many checkouts / self-checkouts really seems to be optimal for end game play?

Place a bajilion self-checkouts and 2 fall-back registers. If you have enough inventory on the sales floor you're not as reliant on quick refills so you can just put 2 cashiers in and you'll be fine most of the time, only thing you'll want to look through is the deliveries, since you'll end up overstocking things you don't sell enough and understocking those you sell often, eventually.

Labeled shelves help with reducing walk time of NPC, you should run through all categories once and align storage to the heights where certain products are situated on the sales floor.

I tried using 2 cashiers, but people were stealing because the checkout lines were too long, and the self-checkouts were much calmer.

I'm not sure, but it doesn’t seem to be working for me. I’m using 4 cashier checkouts and 6 self-checkouts, lol.

I haven't tried diff 10 thus far. Think it's rather designed for multiple people. I'd probably place more self-co & normal ones for stalling measures, probably.

4 npc check outs handle the load with no issues. Don't even need self-checks.

When I finally hit the 10,000 customers mark I was at three employee checkouts and ten self checkouts (Actually had a few more checkouts but ten was the most in use at any one time from what I was able to see). Highest number of customers a day was 280 but most days were between 274 and 278

I've been using 3 on base difficulty. I feel like I'll end up with 4 eventually, and then scale with the self checkouts like the others did, but I'm wary of using them because they've had very mixed performance reviews.

I use 4 checkouts and 8 self checkouts on base difficulty for day 100+, I see no issues with the lines so less of either could be more optimal.
