If you don't have employees yet, or do the register by yourself, you should do 2x the price and then down to the closest number with x.x5 or x.x0 digits below, as you don't need to use 1 cent coins.
Or, alternatively, you can go for .25, .50, .75 and .00, which makes the checkout job even easier. Just remember to not cross the 2x market price, as people will stop buying this product.
Note: Customers will not completely stop buying it, but a part of them will complain and decide to not buy. This makes you more losses than you gain from upping the prices above 2x market cost
