Hello, some recent problems related to saves we think they have to do with the recent activation of Steam Cloud saving.

Check the following points:
- With the game closed make sure if the store files are still there in the local folder located in:
C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\DDTNL\Supermarket Together
They are named StoreFileX.es3, Steam Cloud could be removing and restoring them on the go.

- Visit the Steam storage webpage: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
And check if any files are present in Supermarket Together, they sometimes can be downloaded manually from there.

- Also check if Steam is in offline mode and turning on/off Steam Cloud for the game makes a change.
For individual games:
From the Steam Library, right click on any game and select Properties....
Under the General tab, the Cloud Synchronization setting can be toggled.

For all games:
From the Steam client Settings window, navigate to the Cloud tab.
Cloud can be enabled or disabled using the toggle next to Enable Steam Cloud Sync for applications that support it.

[September Update] As of September's patch the data loss issues listed below should be vastly minimized but could still happen, feel free to post below if you are having problems.

We are aware of some issues that consist of data loss among a small percentage of players, including in some cases the saving icon being infinitely stuck on screen. We understand the frustation of some but for a possible fix the first step is replication.

As we are unable to replicate it in our end our theory is that it could be a possible case of an exception caused by the save being accessed by 2 threads at the same time (either both from inside the game or one from inside the game and another external).

We are making changes one at a time to the saving system, but can’t do very radical stuff until we check how it affects the huge rest of saves.

If you are having this problem here’s a list of points that would help us:
- 1. Commenting what has disappeared in your save. All shelves? Shelves partially? All decoration?

- 2. Commenting if your save was created post August 18th or before that.

- 3. Downloading this sample of functional Store and trying to run it.

The folder in which the file shall be pasted is: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\DDTNL\Supermarket Together

It will appear as the last of savings named as: Save_Store_Test. After loading the store should look like this picture for reference: https://i.postimg.cc/RZSzBWCJ/Picture-To-Compare.jpg

And there could be three outcomes to share:
- That when loading something if missing from the store.
- That after playing a day and let the game saving and then reloading there are issues of something disappearing.
- Or that there are no issues.

- 4. If you have had this issue and would like to share the application’s logs, you can do so by copying the txts “player” and “player-prev” also located in: C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\DDTNL\Supermarket Together
To an online tool like http://justpaste.it (paste there, click publish and share the link).
If both txts are present both blocks of texts can be pasted one above each other. Logs could contain a hint of what is going on from your side.

A Possible workaround for now if you are playing coop is to let any of your friends host or even transfer the store file to them.

I'm not sure if this happens to anyone else but me, every time I reach day 15+ my game freezes, only restarting it helps but it's annoying to constantly restart the game, I've checked alot of my settings and didn't see anything wrong, it might be just me though, anyway thanks for creating this thread and caring for all your players, that is what you can call a great dev, cheers!

every time the save icon gets stuck on my screen I can't go to menu or quit the game unless I stop it through steam. When I load back in everything get deleted except for one product shelf. All happening today. I"ve had to restart 5 different times in like 2 hours. Sometimes the first day will save but most times it doesn't.

Save with 2 friends made before August 18th. We got to day 9 in one sitting then upon loading up everything but the starter shelves and basic products 1 were gone.

I didn't notice till we were about to get off that the save icon was on screen and stayed there.

I have a bug, I turned off my PC when I had the game open and when I entered my game the fov was at 30 and when I went into the settings the texts did not appear and I could not change the fov, even if I hit save no is saved, and in game all the texts are locError, I uninstalled it and downloaded it, restarted my PC and the same thing appear

It happens everytime you interact with items at the cash registers, I tried picking things up and it worked, but if you try to scan something at the cash register with an employee already there, it'll break the game

Hmm weird, if it works correctly and it suddenly crashes it could be a case of out of memory RAM as stuff keeps growing in the store. How many GB do you have to discard this option?

That should be enough (unless you have something extra going on in background), what you can do is the fourth point of the topic, maybe the logs are registering the crashing reason.
