Cannot Find Convoy Friend Host

My wife and I are trying to play the new convoy mode, and both of us have tried being the host. We have made very easy to find lobby names, with and without passwords, and neither of us can ever find the other's host game in the list of convoys in the menu! Everything else appears to be working just fine, but we simply cannot see each other's game lobby. As far as we can tell, there is also no "Invite Friend" option either....

Anyone else experience this/know the obvious answer/am I dumb? :D

Inviting friends is done through the Steam Overlay. Right click persons name, invite to play game. The invite itself on the other hand I have found to be a royal pain to find.

There should be an option in the advanced search parameters to help with finding. Make sure the Steam download location(This can be set View, Settings, Downloads, Download Region) are in the same country too.

Are you two in the same region, perhaps same state? Or are you on opposite sides of the planet, or one of you is East Coast US and the other is West Coast US? I've heard problems of being far from each other that leads to being unable to see each others sessions. Haven't had a chance to test this in detail yet.

We are sitting on opposite sides of the living room... XD

But you never know if the settings on the game are set for other regions. I'll take this suggestions! Thanks!

I should also add.....each person has their own separate Steam accounts with the game being bought on each of them?

Or are you playing through Family Share? Don't believe that Family Share is going to work.

Invite in steam overlay.... is the the Remote Play option?? I've only played one other Steam game that used remote play and it was super wonky (Overcooked). Regular invites from Steam overlay work tons better (Company of Heroes 2/Insurgency), but I cannot see that type of standard invite via ATS.

Yes, not family share. With the very cheap sale at the moment, we now both have a copy of the game (the NW Bundle).

Try this...

Someone create a Lobby. Once the lobby is set up hit Shift + Tab to open the overlay. Right click on the person in your friends list and then click "invite to lobby."

BTW, just wanted to say thanks--enough attempts at the Steam overlay made it work!

Normally, ATS Convoy browser puts at the top of the list the lobbies in which you have Steam friends. Unless you have 100 friends playing Convoy at the same time, it should be easy to spot the desired lobby without having to use Steam overlay.
