How to use personal trailers in convoy.

It may be a stupid question. I've noticed that I can't find a option to use my personal trailer while joining a covoy load. Does only the leader get to use his own trailer? I had the right trailer with my truck when I joined but it told me I had send my trailer packing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need to change the drop down when taking the load to 'Owned truck and trailer'

Also depends on the type of load the person who selected the load too. Not sure if Freight Market loads will allow you to use your own trailer. I don't believe it does.

Cargo Market loads will allow for a company provided truck and trailer, owned truck and provided trailer, or owned truck and trailer. Those are the three options in the drop down area after clicking to take the same load.

Thank you so much. Kinda new to the game. I played 18 wheels of steel way back. And played consoles in between. Getting back into though.

My friend chose a load with his own truck and trailer. I pulled up with my own same set up. He chose the pick up freight. We got there he picked up the load. I joined the job but it wouldn't let me use my trailer. Same exact one he had. It told me I had to send my trailer back. So I'm stuck with a ugly trailer on a 1200 mile trip while my friend rides in style.

As AyMazing said, you have to select in the job screen to use your own trailer. When you click "Take Same Job" in the convoy player screen, you are given options for this.
