Where I live in Texas, it's very rare to see the flag, but I have seen it a couple times.

Also, the ones who twisted what the flag actually was for are the real idiots. The flag itself doesn't really hold much meaning now-a-days. Anywho, I know this topic will get locked eventually, if not outright deleted.

There's a good chance they will get removed from the Steam workshop, it's happened before with a mod that had that flag in it, that mod is still alive, but without the flag.

Not sure what the moderators will do with such a mod, but since it's at the very least a controversial flag I'm sure someone will complain about it sooner or later.
I don't know much about US history, but if it's indeed racist then it goes against Steam TOS anyway.

The short version is that the Confederate States was a thing from around the Civil War era of the US. It mainly comprised of states of the south below a particular longitudinal line if I recall, because the northern states wanted to abolish slavery, but the south did not. There was more involved with the Civil War itself, since slavery was only a crux of the matter at the time. Pretty messy for sure.

The flag itself isn't meant to be controversial, but the modern era does like to take things from history and twist it to their stupid agenda and erases the previous meaning of the flag. While I'm not personally offended by the flag itself, my reasoning is mainly just on the fact I know a bit of US history. I'm not a historian, but I know enough to get by.

Thanks for explaining TwinShadow, I only know the flag from tv, mainly from the time I was a kid and watched the Dukes of Hazzard in the 80's.
It wasn't untill that mod got removed that I mentioned above I realized the flag is more than just nostalgia, but never looked deeper into it.

I'm sure at some point in my junior school years it's been taught, but surely forgotten by me :-)

The meaning of the flag is Raciest and if you ignore its meaning you are the MORON , the fact that it is being used allover the USA by THE KKK and other white Supremacist groups , should let you know what it stands for today .
