That being said, there is an online multiplayer mod, not created by the devs of ATS, nor supported by the devs, and poorly moderated. More info there : http://steamcommunity.com/app/270880/discussions/0/412446890551020524/
And same thing as above, that mod does not allow co-owning a company, co-owning a truck, co-driving a truck.
Yet, there is the VTCs, virtual trucking companies, that allow you to simulate a trucking company (...) by reporting your delivery stats into a website (> Google)
And there is the possibility to alter your save files to create specific jobs allowing your friend and you to drive together from A to B (known as convoy), with that multiplayer mod, albeit it is possible to avoid any editing and find jobs that take the same path, but not the same towns.
