Trouble driving in Winter Wonderland

Is anyone having problems driving in WL?
The reason that I am asking is because right now I am in WL and I can not get my truck up a hill at all. When I do reach a hill sometimes it will move only 1,mph if at all.

Nope no issues. Probably because I drive 55mph any place it allows me.

Yeah the xmas event will ruin the timescale of your save game. I haven't been able to take part in these events for 2 years, now 3rd, now because I don't want to destroy my 1k hours save game.

I really wish we could take part in this without the game breaking winter land stuff.

I'll bite. How does it break your save? I've had no issues with it.

I am. Left my truck stuck on a mountain. Can't move it at all. I already gave up two jobs from Winterland. I'm mad because I was really looking forward to this event too.

I'll bite. How does it break your save? I've had no issues with it.

I am not trolling, it's ruins the timescale as I said, you will have daylight at night and vice versa. The time of day wont match the sun in the sky after visiting winter land.

If you searh on my history you will see I've made this statement every year, but nobody believes me.

Can't we just be allowed to make XMAS deliveries from A to B without all this winterland stuff, at least till it's working for owners of the game?

I've noticed issues as well and keep checking the forums off and on to see if others were having it. Glad I'm not the only one. Earlier it took me 9 minutes to drive 3 miles up a hill :( I thought it was just my truck since it's still my used one I bought originally. I need another 2 levels before I can buy the truck I've been working towards but this Christmas event isn't giving much XP haha. I have 5 more deliveries to finish my personal goal and then I'll likely go back to the normal ones while I try and earn my other truck at least.

To the person commenting about it messing up the time of the day I have yet to see that and I've been playing 220 minutes today so far according to Steam, all time spent doing the event so far. Traveling back and forth hasn't messed anything up on my end yet. Dawn and sunset are still happening around the correct times they always have for me.

Yep :( It didn't help me at that point still. There's another portal (over a little bridge) I found to get to that's mostly flat and far easier to get back to on the way out but any hills along the way traveling that map still slow me down. A couple still drop me to 1-3mph and they take ages to get up :(

Edit:
I parked my trailer at the bottom of a hill to drive to my final viewpoint a bit ago and it helped a little but not by much (still only 7mph up that hill). I have 1 more delivery to do for my challenges and then I'll try and get the rest of my XP to get my other truck with a bigger engine and see if that helps a little as well. I read someone on SCS forums had a similar problem. They tried again with a different truck and it was fine. They didn't mention which truck.

I didn't have this issue last year.

Yep :( It didn't help me at that point still. You have to have your own truck. It doesn't work using Quick jobs.

make sure you own a truck, and go to external contracts. make sure your world of trucks profile is connected to your game as well
