Make sure the shifter is selected under one of the top 5 dropdowns. Once that is done then you set your transmission type to H Shifter.
Scrolling further down on this page you can set for Eaton Fuller 10, 13, and 18 speed. Right now these are not recommended. You can set buttons for range selector and splitter(13 and 18 speed) but work best with a truck shift knob that has been adapted for use on PC. DO NOT MODIFY the Eaton Fuller 10/13/18 speed gates. These are already preassigned(no matter the shifter) for the proper shift patterns that appear in the real trucks.
For what you have I would select Range. Below this area you can assign the "gates" that the shifter will use. 1, 2, 3, etc. including reverse. I would suggest you use a 6 or 7 speed transmission if available for the truck.
If you want to use Real Automatic then you can select what position you want for Drive and Reverse below where you can assign the gates.
Just make sure that your shifter is recognized and activated under Options -> Controls by selecting it from the dropdowns at the top of the list.
If needed , manually verify the shifter positions through the list further down.
Also, under Options -> Game Prefs , make sure you select the H-Shifter transmission type, NOT an automatic or sequential.
Lastly, if needed, set up a clutch key/button/thing to use while shifting.
That is only an option for the TH8A in sequential mode.
