Hood ornaments

I realized that my truck does not have an option to add a hood ornament. I feel like just last week I was able to add hood ornaments to my truck but no longer see the option. Am I going crazy, or was there an option to add them?

There is on Macks. Or rather you must use them on Macks, there is no option to remove it.

I'm using a w900, and I can specifically remember putting an eagle ornament on it.

what mod would that be? i dont remember downloading one for hood ornaments.

I believe it is Sisl's Mega Pack Cabin Accessories. Only mod I use. He(?) is very good about updating it after an update.

You don't need a mod to put hood ornaments on the W900. It comes with the W900 cosmetics DLC.

Check if your DLC is properly installed.

Ok, I checked the dlc, and it seems that it is installed correctly. Is the option for hood ornaments able to be selected from the inside or outside? I still cannot seem to find it, and it's driving me crazy.

If I remember correctly, it's the outside under "accessories".

that's strange. I've checked there multiple times, and i can see options to change bug deflector, hood, and grill logo, but nothing for hood ornaments.

That's definitely a mod related issue. I just checked the W900 and "hood ornament" node is on top of the hood, next to the grill emblem

Ok. What would be the best way to go about figuring out what mod is doing it without messing up my save files?

Start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile with a name like "test profile" (you can have as many as you want without affecting your normal profile) and test the game.

You need to test and check every mod individually and together to see which one is at at fault in the new test profile.

Mods are unsupported by SCS, they are entirely your responsibility.

Mod authors do not always maintain mods and keep them up to date, any new game update has the potential to break every mod. Workshop mods and third-party mods have NO guarantee of working, either on their own or with other mods.
Mods can affect the game in unintended ways causing problems not related to the mod itself.
Mods from the Workshop that have the green indicator may still not be compatible with the current game version, it is not a reliable indicator of compatibility.

I tried that, and the new account worked just fine with the mods I'm using, but my good account does not have the option. Could I try running a later version of the game to see if that would fix it?

Game version is not going to be an issue if it works with a new profile.
