ATS and ETS2 1.50 Experimental Beta Review

I have installed ETS2 and ATS 1.50 beta today. Here’s everything I would like to say:

1) New UI is very good.

It’s good but it’s gonna take me a few days at most to get used to.

2) TAA very blurry.

I much prefer the older Anti Aliasing.

3) Stuttering and rubber banding not fixed for me.

In ETS2 I have both of the issues. In ATS just rubber banding. Any help is appreciated.

4) Absolutely love the Lane Assist feature but needs a version with Full Self Driving.

Lane Assist is a very good thing. Although I personally would love a way to toggle full self driving to either adjust my seat or just enjoy the scenery. I think it will be very easy to do as lane assist is already programmed so with a bit of tweaks I think it will be possible. Also telemetry data from Lane Assist would be absolutely amazing.

5) New mud is good

I really like the new mud. It looks very nice and I think this adds realism to the game.

one detail to not forget convoy limit of 8 raised to max limit 128. .Go to your config file. (MyDocuments/AmericanTruckSimulator/Config) Open config with notepad or wordpad. find uset g_max_convoy_size "8" change the 8 to 128 for those that host and join over 8 convoy mode sessions.

This suggests a hardware limitation on your end, not a game issue.

Have you tried to use geforce experience overlay to increase the sharpness? Every TAA game should have a built in AA sharpener like Red Dead Redemption has.

Weird. My computer is good enough to run the game though. I have an NVIDIA GTX 1650, Intel Core I5 10300 and 16 gb ram. Its even more weird that im running all low and still getting this issue. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Start a new profile. This is an experimental open beta. Not even a normal open beta. You should NOT be running mods on it first and foremost.

If all you're wanting to do is check out the new features that's fine and dandy but this is exclusively for SCS to get feedback from the community regarding bugs.

Speaking of bugs the lane assist feature crashes a lot. No it doesnt crash the game just tends to be pretty unstable. I might be using it wrong and if so then they should add a full self driving mode. I like to enjoy the scenery and its also useful at times. Like when I need to take a sip of water I can just make it drive itself for a bit. just a suggestion.

what mods do you have? You must disable any map mod and traffic mod. Thats the only thing that fixed it for me.

TAA is Not "very blurry". Very sharp and clear on my PC.

Getting NO Stuttering and rubber banding on my PC

Your GTX 1650 is getting a bit long in the tooth now.
