Which is the best trailer? The one that yields more money per mile.
I want to know which trailer to buy, I have all DLCs. does anyone know?"

The reefer, it can take frozen and ordinary loads, plus medical loads in it pay very high rates per mile. I think it has the biggest range of available cargo.

Yup, the reefer is probably the most versatile, so will offer the best bang for the buck.

Insulated is a better option IMHO. Reefer only adds frozen foods and milk.

In case you didn't know you can haul dry van and insulated loads in the reefer. Reefer trailer is not limited to only frozen cargo like it is in ETS2.

Just checked and this is not correct.

It can't take non refrigerated dry hazmat cargo like Ammunition but that applies to both the insulated and dry van as well. Only Curtainsider's can take those kinds of loads (which from my prospective is strange due to the lower security of a curtainsider.

But normal Dry van and insulated loads it can take.
The example posted below is with a refrigerated with side doors trailer.

That may have been changed sometime in the recent past? I know when Convoy first came out my friends and myself had a hell of a time trying to find loads for reefers because nothing would populate for it unless it was frozen.

I don't play ETS2 all that often to even keep up with things over there.

From my knowledge it's always been like this since the ownable trailer update.

Edit:
Perhaps convoy broke something but for as long as I know its always been like this.

If you want the most money per mile then stick with the company supplied trailers.

That is not accurate. I gained $20ish per mile over the highest offers for "jobs" by buying a D-shaped tanker or whatever it's called that held the same items I had been hauling in company owned trailers and then picking offers from the "cargo" page instead of the "job" page. That was the entire point of the owned trailers feature being added. Each offer pays more when you use more of your own equipment. If you are prone to massively damage the trailer, but not the cargo much, then the gain will be minimal, but once you get used to not crashing, you can make more money with more equipment.
Curious to the OP what the highest offers are that they have gotten so far. I have gotten to the point around level 19 i think of getting routine offers at $120+ per mile with the d-tank thing that holds ethanol and i believe liquid propane. Don't have the game open so may be wrong a bit on the product names.

Lowboy is typically the highest paying owned trailer.

Indeed. It's pretty much what I've been focusing on now is as a heavy haul trucker, and the numbers I see are just mind-boggling.

Though it might not seem so at first, money is entirely arbitrary in this game. There's no reason to think in terms of earning. It will happen consequentially, and it will snowball rapidly. Even if you set yourself the goal of taking over the entire map and having the most expensive trucks and trailers for every one of your drivers, there is no obstacle beyond a very temporary initial shallowness of a very highly exponential curve of accumulation of wealth. In fact, the only challenge I can see to be had with the money system in the standard game would be to avoid money while still taking jobs. Even if you never hired a driver, you quickly accumulate more money than you can spend because you've got nothing to spend it on, unless you're stocking up on garages to store unused trucks in. And conversely, start hiring drivers and your bank account starts to infinitely balloon. All of which also makes the experience/levelling system entirely pointless. Really, money is the silliest aspect of this game, and I reckon the way it's been implemented ruins everything about the game beyond the driving itself.

There may be specific contexts in which the statement isn't accurate, but in general terms the most lucrative job(s) from any given location are going to be using a different trailer to the one you have attached. At the moment the Boom Lift jobs pay the most but they won't be available from every location and thus even a trailer suitable for those isn't always going to net you the best possible profit per mile (or per diem, however you prefer to measure).

In addition to these opportunity costs (IIRC this is the term), the small extra income using own trailer compared to the exact same job using supplier provided trailer i (same cargo, same weight, same source, same destination, ...) is offset by the costs using own trailer (initial purchase, running service/repairs), making the extra profit (income minus costs) even smaller.

Not to mention you have to drag around that trailer everywhere between the jobs. You cannot have it detached other than temporary. Not money but effort to weigh against how greedy the player is.
