strange sound after patch

Anyone else hear some strange sound with the w900 when turning almost like something is dragging . not sure what it is but in real life that sound is not there and i dont remember it being there in game in past either.

Check to make sure that your Steam Overlay is not open. Steam during their recent update made these windows persistant. If any overlay tabs are open...close them.

I have never used steam over lay not even sure how to check that . It almost sounds like the noise you hear when you drive through dirt roads in this game with a little bit of rattle . never heard it till today , i hope its not the w900 tweeking they did .

honestly i think they did this to the truck to simulate rattles and noise and if so i will be selling the w900 , what a shame if so . i see the hood shake and so on so im wondering if that is the noise of the truck they put into game if so wonder if i can remove it cause my truck in real life does not make this dumb noise they put in

i have the same sound, but it happens with other trucks too.
probably some bug because only happens when you turn right

To uncheck the overlay, go to settings top left Steam and thengo down the 11th rule where it said InGame. There u can set all ur overlay stuff. 👍🤓

Ok so its not just me then , I checked overlay its not that its in game seems to be since the patch / hot fix or what ever it was today on the 10th they did .

I have see the hood shake in real life trucks. So that is OK. But all that extra noise is a ♥♥♥♥. Real truck drivers don't let things in their truck rattle around like that. That can of windows cleaner that rolls from one side to the other in my real life truck would go flying out the window across the hwy at 70+ miles an hour. And for those screeching tires, now that is so unreal it make me laugh.

Speak for yourself buddy. I have been had stuff ratling around my cabin all the time. Depends how ones drive realy. My cabinis my house, my kingsize bed, my office and for me personaly I decorate it my way any way pleased. Thats how real truckers roll bud! 🤠👍🤙✌️

I have and still do drive in real life 24 years and I have 0 rattles in my truck all my trucks cause I take care of my trucks but the noise i hear with the w900 is stupid since i bought the KW pack dLC and since last patch i hear it and its odd almost sounds like your dragging something every time i turn . My real life truck makes no noise like that same truck too .

For me, it sounds like they increased the frequency of the sound "event" being played when turning. Now, it sounds a little un-natural when I take 4 clover-leafs in a row (because I want them all yellow!) that I would have so much junk rolling around in my cab that I would hear it all rolling/sliding to the left 4 times in a row. Wouldn't it all already be on the left wall of the cabin after the first or second bend? LOL

Be that as it may, it only just registers to me since I typically have music playing and that makes the new sounds a little less intrusive.

Just played today after the update and first thing I heard was a sound like a ton of rubbish sliding around in my cab. It is horrid. I muted the interior sounds volume just to get rid of that horrid and totally pointless noise. Who ever had the idea to add this to the game obviously doesn't drive lol.

yup that is what i hear too funny it only started since this last patch , i hope they fix it cause it is pretty stupid . Like i said i drive a truck in real life for years i don't hear that noise esp. how often you hear it in the game its way over done .

For those with this rattle noise inside the truck, which I incorrectly atrributed to the Steam Overlay, you may want to run this mod. This mod will revert the noise back to 1.47 versions. Of course you must be on 1.48 for this work.
