Config.cfg file in Documents/American Truck Simulator folder changes:
uset r_buffer_page_size "30"
uset t_averaging_window_duration "240" <-- set to you monitor default refresh rate
uset t_averaging_window_length "120" <-- set to double the fps that I locked the game to which is 60.
In game graphics settings:
Refresh rate: Default Refresh
V-Sync - Disabled
Scaling: 400% <-- personal preference
AA: TAA
TAA Tuning: Adaptive Clarity
TAA luma sharpening: 1.50
SSAO: Disabled
Individual graphics below this is personal preference along with having SSAO on. I hate the screen door look it shows on trucks like the W900 where you can see the hood so I disable it.
ETA: Remember there is no need to run this game at your monitor max refresh rate. You should go for smooth and steady framerates in my opinion.
2560 x 1440. My graphics card is an EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB.
If the answer to above is yes then have you tried on a brand new profile without mods?
Since I lock my game to 60fps I don't get any jittering, stuttering. Going through California Phase 3 my system stays locked at 60fps. Same as with Nebraska.
Could try some launch options too. Right click ATS in your Library >> Properties.
Copy and paste these into the Launch Options area:
-mm_max_resource_size 80 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000

Anyway, I'm back on 1.49. The graphics appear to be pixel-to-pixel identical to 1.50 on the same settings, and run so much better. I lost Nebraska tho, it was a beautifully made state.
Mod issue.
