Game not fully shutting down
So when I accept the game it doesn't fully shut down at least according to Steam when I go to my task manager it's not showing up on there whatsoever so I have to press stop and not like it's going to affect my save files as far as I'm aware cuz all my progress is saved.

This started happening today and is it something I did that I'm not aware of cuz I did verify files just in case I restarted steam and it still does it it's not a big issue but why is the game not fully shutting down and how can I fix it.

Especially knowing that there isn't any processes in the task manager for it.

I have had this problem with other games fairly recently. Namely Grand Theft Auto 5 and Roblox. Although with those I can find it in task manager via searching the name and killing it. With your situation I would try pressing the STOP button and see what happens. Steam is reporting some activity from the game in some way even if it is not in the taskbar or task manager.

Yeah that's what I do I mean as long as it's not going to hurt anything I'll just keep doing it until I can find a solution but it's not like I'm not saving my progress so it's not like I'm going to be losing anything.

I just don't know how it could be detecting any activity from the game when it's completely shut down and I didn't change any settings or do anything that would cause this I mean I heard that someone had a similar issue a while ago I think a couple years and when they turned off the steam overlay that helps them but I tried that and it didn't help me.

Just a weird issue I did test a separate game mainly Alaskan truck simulator and that didn't do it and that was fine so I'm not sure what steam is detaching when it comes to American truck Sim.

As stated above i have just got my new computer system the other day and i transferred everything from ATS and ETS2 over from my document folder so i didn't have to reset all my controls and other settings everything's working fine except for when i safe the game and quit to exit it closes everything down but i find that either program is still running in the back ground and i have to go into steam it self and close it from the home page on my account any ideas why and the solution
Thanks in advance

go into systems menu > apps > apps on start up> turn off steam, job done

I have the same problem with american truck simulator I have to manually click on the stop button to fully stop the game from running all other games I have stop automatically when I quit the game and going to task manager startup apps and shutting steam off from there doesn't work because it doesn't even show that it's enabled

Right I mean what's even weirder is at least in my case when that was happening it's just randomly stops what I mean specifically is like okay I can go like a couple days where it doesn't fully shut off and I have to hit the stop button then just out of nowhere it starts shutting off properly so I don't know what goes on when that happens.
