IN GAME ADS

Is it just me or is the billboards for the trucking companies irking yall too? I paid money for a game that Schneider paid god knows how much to advertise in the game and has completely taken the fun out of driving.

You can turn them off. They are in the online section of the menu.

Doesn't bother me really. I'd rather Schneider pay to advertise on in game billboards (which is a natural place to put them) then have SCS raise the price of DLCs.

In game ads are back? For quite awhile it seemed that they were removed.

This is nothing new and there are blog posts about it too and the amount of negative feedback that SCS got was quite high.

I've had them enabled the whole time and I can't say that I ever have seen one... I really don't pay much attention to the signs, not even in real life. ;)

i have never ever noticed this ...why do you even care its something that keeps the dlc maps cheaper then im happy about that

I mean they're not incredibly intrusive, for me its just the principle that the game I paid over $100 for contains ads

I don't pay attention to billboards IRL when I'm driving either. Too busy watching the idiots around me do idiot things.

They were never gone.

That's not what people were saying on the SCS Forums. ALl the Schneider, Swift, and other ads disappeared.

Well, as someone who doesn't live in America I generally can't tell the difference between real or fake billboard ads in the game. I think it would be funny if there was a mod that put in some of those punny product ads from GTA IV, they made me laugh! Sprunk, anyone?

there are mods about that change whats put on them ...but i don't see a problem with any of them ( ads in real life so why not ads here?)
