Utah "Some Like it Salty" achivement

I have a problem with this achievement. I did 6/8, it doesn't want to charge me more. I drove through each of the 8 companies twice and nothing. There must be some mistake there. I read some information from the net, but there are no more companies like Valtison Motors and Wallbert. Now we have Apade and Shop Town.

Probably SCS forgot to update the achievement when the companies changed.

You have to also check external jobs for more chances and specially now, keep track of the companies/specific locations when the company name changes apparently took place *shrugs*

The guide confirms the achievement is broken. I don't think I've seen a bug report, so its probably not on SCS's list of things to fix.

Yes, 6 of 8 no matter how many times I have tried to finish this. I even reverted back my real companies mod and used quick jobs to go with default rather than use my own truck and show up at these locations. As of 1/14/2025 this is still not fixed. I have some other issues too like never finding frac tank jobs to where I need to go ect. Makes trying to get these achievements done something of a bother. Others, are pretty easy... The historic sites in Texas is another issue. You can drive by them, go up to them, take pictures of them and they do not count. I have 6 counted for and no idea how. I believe this will be another achievement that is broken and not possible to complete. Cool idea but need better execution so you can get them crossed off the list. Make a trigger square or something...

I completed the Texas one not long ago, it's not broken. You just need to get close to the markers, that's it. If one if not causing your count to go up, its because you already discovered it. Use a guide to find all the locations.

As Madkine says with the Avid Historian achievement you have to get close to them, in the cab of your truck - I found that if I could read the whole sign either out of the windscreen (windshield in Murcan) or through the side window then that would be good enough. Under the covers you have to fire a trigger defined in the map data so like other triggers you have to be in the right place and using photo mode won't help.
