Wireless VR via Quest 3 issue
I'm having trouble with my Quest 3 wirelessly playing Steam games (specifically ATS) using the Quest Steam Link app. Every 10-15 seconds the gameplay gets glitchy, even though I have a strong Wi-Fi 6e connection and everything is set up correctly.

Could mirroring the game to my ultrawide desktop monitor be causing this? Would unplugging the monitor help? I'm hesitant to disconnect my monitor without knowing if it will make a difference. Any ideas what's causing the glitches and how to fix it?

It doesn't seem to glitch out in the menu's of ATS, only while driving. I have a strong PC with a 4080 Super.

If you can connect the headset directly to the pc I would try that first to see if the wireless connection is the cause.

I tried connecting it to the PC directly with the Oculus USBC cable and struggled to get high FPS with it, it was a godawful experience, glitching as the road glitched into the hood of the truck and steeringwheel. With all the testing I get a very crisp and smooth experience with the wireless Steam Link app except for the reoccuring 'glitchyness' every 15 seconds.

Vitual Desktop is the solution

I tried Virtual Desktop and it was very glitchy, even worse than the wireless. when moving objects pass under the hood of the truck or mirrors the graphics conflict and fight for what's on top of the other making the whole experience extremely buggy.

Have you tried oculus tray tool to set your vr settings beforehand?

I'm at work so I can't give you the settings I use but no issues at all and wired is better than wireless but both work fine in my case.

Disabling the mirror mode does save compute power.

I wish that the wired mode worked well for me, I struggled with it for a couple weeks trying to play with it and it was extremely awful.
