Game will not update
Ever since the update was released the end of November, it won't complete. It downloads, gets to the patching stage, and just keeps restarting.
It's been like it since November, i now can't play the game

Make sure you have enough space on your drive that the game is installed on.

I also recommend doing the below on clearing download cache. It will sign you out of Steam so be sure you know your login information.

Clearing download cache.

-Click Steam on upper left
-Settings
-Downloads
-Click Clear Download Cache.

As like beardedmiracle, same exact situation. Did exactly what was recommended, HD space is NOT an issue with my CPU, nor are my CPU specs what so ever. What I really want to say here, I cannot. Updates are getting insane here lately....not happy again......

Have you tried to reinstall the game?

I can of course as a last resort, which in fact I will lose all of my fleet and all of my garages and have to start from scratch. This is a shame as this is an awesome game, or was. Thank You for your time.

No, you won't. I have no idea why people think that they will. Your save file is something completely separate from your game files.

are you sure?

Yes we are very very sure. The save file is stored in the my documents folder (if you've disabled steam cloud) and the game files are stored in the steam directory. An uninstall only touches the steam directory.
