Route 66 is was replaced by I-40 and I-44. This ATS will be heavily modded so it wont surprise me to see map mod of pre-1956 before the interstates were built.

Theres still sections of the Route 66 thats there, but as far as ingame i wouldnt think so, no real reason for a truck to travel on it.
But if someone does bring out a map mod, along with classic trucks and cars of that era would be really nice. which should be possible , In the trailers it looks like theirs pleanty of classic cars as it is.

Route 66 is pretty common. i'm thinkin they'll add some of it. they added non freeways in ETS2.

Don't think it will be there.. For a trucker, well Route 66 isn't really the best choice, it was replaced by I-40 and 44 which is just better to drive, it's an interstate ;). It's legendary though, so maybe it'll be in there because of that... We'll see...

Some parts are left for tourists. The official "Route 66" as part of the american road network was finally decomissioned on June 27th 1985. It was too long, too slow, too curvy and badly maintained due to its lenght and location...

I own 1962 and 1966 McRally Road Atlas and I modded in haulin and gonna build 1960s era Arizona, Southern California, New Mexico map for ATS.

I know ETS2 editor played with it and just need to buy zmod3 license soon to build models. Hope they have feature to shut off GPS, and block cars from later than 1970.

In flight simulator 2004 they had sliver wings mod that backdated Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tuscon, Alberquere to 1963.
