Game crashes at same spot

I noticed it first when i would try to take a quick job from Salina Utah and as I click take job it crashes. So i decided to quick travel to Salina and doing so it would also crash. So I tried driving to Salina from a neighbouring city and at the same spot in the road the game would crash. Anyway moved on from that disappointment and about a week or two later which is today now, I was taking a load from i don't remember where but I think it's being dropped off in San Jose and i have to drive through Modesto and everytime at the same spot driving on an overpass it crashes. So again i try driving an alternate route and it just finds another spot to crash at. Googling my problem was of no benefit to me so I hope it can be resolved here. And I also tried disabling the logo mods I have thinking that maybe that might have been a problem which it wasn't so I really don't know the problem and it's frustrating, because its like i'm in a loophole with that game and can't go forward.

Verify local file integrity. Right click ATS in your Steam Library >> Properties >> Installed Files >> Verify Integrity.

If this comes back as all files verified then you have a mod issue happening.

ETA: You can always start a new profile, do not add mods to it, and make sure the game is working normally. Then you test your mods by adding them one at a time and going through the area where you crash. You will find the culprit mod or mods.

For me it was Traffic Mods that actually caused this. Traffic as in Jazzycat's stuff. I'm not sure why exactly it does this, but I'm guessing the game is hard-coded to spawn a specific vehicle in a specific location, but Jazzy's stuff is overriding it and therefore a crash occurs. I don't know if that's the issue you're facing but getting rid of Jazzy's stuff (all of it, Classic Cars, Regular Cars, Trucks, Painted Traffic etc.) fixed it for me.

Just verified files even though I'm sure i've done it before writing this discussion, so I'm not entirely hopeful that it will work. I suppose i'll just have to create a new profile and see which mod is causing the crash. thanks

I actually don't have any of Jazzy's traffic mods, just a little too size heavy for me so I really don't know which potential mod could be causing this because most of my mods are engine mods and truck physics and the timing of traffic lights, and mirror reworks and so forth.

I run all this no crash. In that order. Did every town in nebraska and touched base with every delivery location in nebraska with all those mods, convoy and single player, over 40 hours now. So if you seem to think its one of those thats crashing you it is still possible if you have a potato pc. !.50 dont like potato, 1.49 likes potato. You can try to raise your buffer limit in games config to 30 from 10, 10 is the default. Might help stablize whatever issue your encountering. You can also try to install every single one of those mods i got and run your game, if no crash, was whatever mod you had that i dont have. Easy peasy.

That is not easy peasy. I have a Lenovo ideapad gaming computer with 16 gb of ram so I don't think it's a potato. Well at $700 it shouldn't be. Anyway I created a new profile and added majority of mods that i thought would cause it. And of course the one i least expected was the problem and it was a Mercedes G63 mod that was crashing the game in the same spot, yet still the game doesn't recognize it as incompatible so I for sure would have never thought. Pretty weird but I'm just glad I was able to find it, a bit of a tedious process but it worked so hey.

You can't judge if a mod is compatible or not in the Mod Manager by using the red/green lights that you see.

If the mod creator adds a version file and locks a mod to a specific version then yea that is one thing but most mod creators don't do that, hence the need go through them one at a time.

i have had crashing in the past, in random places from either changing old mods for updated ones or just adding a new mod to the load order mid delivery. Never do this, if you get random crashes from this you should cancel the delivery and start a new one.

So you believe I am running a couple mods that are no different from each other, could you point out which ones you believe are no different from each other. I want traffic to look as varied as possible and what I am running without issue is working exactly how I want it to look. I rarely see a duplicate vehicle during a delivery. Rosco74's truck traffic pack is made up of many of his high quality skins, I would highly recommend.
