What are your hardware specs?
What do you have running in the background while playing the game?
TRUCKER17H Dec 10, 2024 @ 9:00am
my specs are ryzen 2700x my gpu is a Rtx 2070 super ram is 88 gigs two ssd drive both 1 terabit on each drive

88GB? You sure?

That sounds like you mixed RAM which isn't really recommended. How many sticks of how much do you have?
TRUCKER17H Dec 10, 2024 @ 3:46pm
two 32s an 16 an 8 thats 88 gigs

Your CPU only supports dual channel RAM so that isn't working at all.
Remove all none 32GB sticks and put them in the proper slots.

You should not mix RAM like that, it can cause instability or other issues. As Wolfgang said, remove the 16 and 8 GB sticks, and place the two 32GB sticks in the appropriate slots. 64GB of RAM should be plenty anyway, I doubt you will see any performance changes in almost anything.

well i havent had any problems

The issue you have may very well be that. The issue you have due to mixing RAM and using more slots than your CPU supports.

If it is bad your CPU only sees your 16 and 8 gig sticks. And if it is worse, the speeds don't match and it will result in RAM that is slowed down to the slowest RAM stick. And in the worst case even lower due to you losing in the silicon lottery and memory training causing it to slow down more.

Do a Steam file integrity check, then another 'sfc /scannow' command in windows terminal. Be sure to disable any overlays, nvidia, steam, gamebar. Disable defender and security software for testing purposes. Chckdsk your volumes.

His CPU will properly use 4 sticks of RAM if they are appropriately matched. His CPU supporting Dual Channel just means there are two channels of communication to the RAM from the CPU, so using two sticks of RAM will make the system faster, as it can communicate more data to the RAM, compared to a single stick of RAM. Going from 2 to 4 RAM sticks does not increase the RAM speed, just the quantity available.

Mismatched RAM in dual channel mobos will lead to instability and all the RAM defaulting to the slowest stick of RAM of the four. The timing and latency of the whole system will be compromised.
The whole point of dual channel RAM is that it is all exactly the same spec and works in synchronisation for the highest performance. 32 Gb in two matched sticks of RAM in the CORRECT slots will be more than enough for the highest performance out of the system.
Mixed RAM is asking for trouble and it will happen, as well as potentially actually slowing the PC down unnecessarily.

Google will confirm all this in 3 seconds, 461,000,000 results for you to look through!
