No word on if Wonderland is coming back this year.

As for snow elsewhere the game is based on summer solstice so basically no snow. This has long been requested by the community.

Winterland should appeear around 14-17 December.

Last year it had snow on the ground, but I don't think it actually snowed at any time while driving.

For normal states the game is set permanently in mid-summer, so there will not be snow.

My memories awakens:

It’s to this land that we must haul,
And bring supplies for one and all.
And don’t forget the Northstar post,
Where Christmas cards are sent the most.

So, how on earth do you get there?
Well, not by land and not by air.
Instead you need to give a hand
And load supplies to Winterland.

Then once you’re ready for the ride
And offering your help with pride,
A snowy portal will appear.
Just look around, you’ll find it near.

Then drive to it, and don’t delay
Now park inside, then on your way!
Once you arrive, explore, have fun.
It’s Winterland for everyone.
:steamhappy:

I'm an old man, and in that part of life where the people you know, the ones you are the closest to, all start disappearing.

Driving last year's 'Winterland' event got me through a very difficult time as my brother (one of 4 and the oldest) was in a hospital in TN fighting for his life. He fought valiantly but moved on down the road this past spring.

Driving the winter event was the one thing I could do while I was babysitting my phone to see if I was going to need to fly down there on a moments notice because he turned a bad corner and time was short.

Now I"m not sure if I'll enjoy driving this years' winter event, or if it'll be bittersweet.

But I know one thing. So long as I'm able I will drive it, because carrying on and living life is what I know he'd want me to do. I expect nothing less from my other brothers too.

So yah, I'm looking forward to getting started on it, Winterland reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad would load us all up in the car to go look at Christmas lights on the houses and what not. I will drive the winter event for me, and I'll be driving it for other reasons too.

It never did snow for me in Winterland either (like Madkine observed), but I did drive on a frozen lake and make-believe I was an ice road trucker for a little while, hehe).

Let's go!! :104::catinablanket:

Thank you for the kind words moviebunker. I wished a thousand times it was me instead.

I have a feeling that somehow the ATS winter event will always be something I look forward to now . . . :cozyhoi4eagle:
