Some loss of graphical detail is to be expected, yes. But that's okay for a port to a system that can be played as a handheld and is essentially a tablet.
I actually got Immortals: Fenyx Rising for the Switch, don't regret it 🙂.
Although honestly I'll stick to PC for ATS. Better choice of peripherals, and yeah the graphics are better on PC, and I honestly don't see myself playing the game portable. I got Fenyx Rising on the Switch so I could play it portable.
Mobile games are a better technical match, as the Switch is an ARM based system - but as far as gameplay expectations go, it's much closer to a console.
Playing on other platforms tends to exclude portable play, so exclusive games aren't the only draw to the Switch.
This is a fair point - we don't know that they want to spend the extra resources for making a port. Any port would need to be supported on an ongoing basis as the game evolves.
I think a lot of people had high expectations for the Switch because of Nintendo’s own pedigree and what seemed to be their intention to come back from the casual shovelware that blighted the Wii, so the presence of mobile ports vice the full versions of certain games like Car Mechanic and Farm Sim took them by surprise.
When I said “if at all possible”, I did mean that to include that obviously you can’t play a PS5 portably the same way as a Switch (yet). However, if your Switch pretty much lives in its dock like mine does, you should be playing all non-Switch exclusives on another platform IMO.
