Which wheel to get?
Hi folks, I posted this also in the ETS2 forum as its gonna be a big purchase for me and I want to make the right decision.

I am going to order a wheel with pedals today and choosing between the Logitech G920 and Logitech G923. The price difference is $120 unless i get the G923 (for PC and PS4). I was thinking of going for the cheaper ps4/pc version of the G923, as i am only gonna play on PC anyway. Should I or is there a difference?

What do yall think? Is the Logitech G923 worth it over the G920? Is the price difference justified? I only plan on using the wheel for ETS2 and ATS. Not so much into fast car racing games.

Appreciate ur feedback!

From my experience with the G920 I'd generally suggest to have a look at Thrustmaster.

Loud FFB, stupid brake resistance and after a bit over warranty an heavily oxidised throttle potentiometer that now frequently requires me to disassemble the pedals and clean that thing. I'm never paying Logitech that much money again.

Also Thrustmaster offers 1080° turning circle which is more realistic for trucks. FFB is belt driven and doesn't make as much noise as Logitech's geared version.

Just to warn you. I doubt the new wheels are worth an extra 120.

For just ETS2/ATS, the G920 is fine.

I started with the G27 in 2015. Replaced that in 2018 with a G29. The only difference between these two was that the shifter was now an addon and all the buttons were moved to the wheel. Meanwhile the G29 and G920, the only difference is the controller branding, one being able to be used on Xbox and the other being able to be used on Playstation(both should be functional on PC afaik). Buttons are slightly different order, but the G29 has 4 more buttons(depends how you count).

I can't compare the G923 to anything, since I've never seen that wheel personally.

I have no experience with other brands, so can't recommend you to a different brand. But I do often hear about Thrustmaster wheels being better.

The G923 only adds a progressive spring for the brake pedal and Trueforce feature for racing games. It requires additional coding for the developer and only this Logitech model uses it. The button layout is a little different.

Which should you buy, well the G923 has no benefit over the G920 for ETS 2 and ATS. If you looked at a Thrustmaster T300 RS GT, then that is a genuine next level up wheel. The Thrustmaster TMX Pro is also a good wheel that is worth looking at.

I bought a G920 last year as I found one at a reasonable price - I was looking for the T300RS GT, but wasn't prepared to pay the ridiculous asking price as everyone was stuck at home and supply couldn't meet demand.
