Mods For Graphics?
I was wondering, I've searched on NexusMods and on the Workshop, has anyone made, or knows where to find a near realistic graphic update? overall these graphics are amazing, but I'd love to see some more realistic updates to the graphics, maybe something pulled from Google Earth or something? I dunno, this game is amazing, and I'd love to see just how beautiful it can be.

I don't know of any that aren't paid mods, and, of course, we can't discuss paid mods on Steam.

To pull from Google earth would require a new custom built game engine - nothing like this has been done apart from MFS 2020.

A development team larger than all of SCS staff would be required to work on work on this. It isn't a simple mod project.

If you created a game with google earth images, then you would run in to licencing issues and take down notices faster than a fly is attracted to ****.

Even with licencing for google earth, you have further licensing issues from all the brands that appear in real life.

Existing prefabs for delivery/pickup points wouldn't work and this all needs to be re-engineered.

Traffic on the google images doesn't move and it doesn't match up with images a few frames away.

Better graphics APIs are being worked on to move the game to DX12 and Vulkan support - possibly as soon as next year. That will make some aspects better like AA which SCS know is needing an update.

There are a number of "Realistic" graphics updates which make changes rather than being actual 'improvements.

There is a project in existence for users with Nvidia graphics cards, which uses a tool to give additional nvidia driver settings control to uses which results in a smoother all over graphics image.

You MUST follow the instructions exactly as written - so be vigilant, so many rush through it and skip parts thinking it will still work.

Grimes has a few different seasons mods which are popular.

You need to be careful with graphics mods when there is a big game update due shortly (1.45) as some of these graphics mods may need time to update - especially at holiday time....
Have a clean profile to play on if you encounter this happening - it lets you continue the game while waiting on mods to be come compatible with new game version.

*snip*
One weather mod I'm using is working fine in 1.45. I regularly play and test mods on new versions to see what will break and all that.

If anyone is curious, it's Kass's Brutal Weather[forum.scssoft.com] that's working fine for me. All of the other mods I'm using are also working fine so far without too much issues.

Reshade?

I don't personally use Reshade as it's stupidly resource intensive and for me, not worth it. Some people do though, and that's on them.

I don't touch Reshade, haven't in awhile actually, but I use Nvidia's built in Overlay which in my opinion is not overly resource heavy.

Same as the other guy said
For me reshade is just way too intensive for my system and in some cases corrupted game files

But in terms of ATS graphics i really only turned off the in game AA and replaced it with nvidia control panel AA until SCS moves to DX12
