You can then unpack the .rar file. Inside the .rar will be an .scs file to place into Documents\ATS\mod folder.
I gruss I'll do without it, Thanks anyway
Sorry for the trouble.
I never did get it to work, It"s over my head but that"s ok I can live without it.
THANKS again for everthing you did.
1. As previously mentioned, grab yourself a copy of 7-zip from their main website: https://www.7-zip.org/ - chances are you'll just want to click the Download link for Windows 64-bit. Don't bother with the others.
2. Install the program. You may or may not need to reboot your PC. (this is standard with Windows apps)
3. Once installed, and you have the RAR file for Daniel's mod, right click on the RAR file and click "7-zip" and "Open Archive" (the first one, the second brings out a separate menu we're not worried about).
4. Inside the RAR should be an SCS file, it'll probably be named something like <mod_name_goes_here>.scs within the file. That's what we're looking for. Before doing anything else, open up a File Explorer Window, and navigate to the following directory: C:\Users\<your_username>\Documents\American Truck Simulator\mods
4b. If in the event Windows complains that folder does not exist, omit the mods portion and you should see a few folders, namely profiles and some files. Right click on a blank space in this folder and click Create Folder and simply call it mods. Double click this folder to enter it.
5. Now back in the 7-Zip Window, hold left click on the SCS file and drag it into the currently empty mods folder. Once it's done copying over, you're free to close 7-zip and start the game.
6. As we're not done yet, you'll need to enable the mod in your profile. Once the game is running and you're at the profile selection screen, do not hit Continue and instead click on a button labeled Mod Manager.
7. In here, if you have workshop mods already, you'll need to scroll through and find Daniel's mod. Once you find it, double click on it to enable it like you would any other workshop mod.
8. Confirm your changes, load into your profile, and you should be good to go now.
Inside step 4 there is no scs file, Like I said I don"t know what I"m doing but all is good.
I don"t gruess I need it .
Thanks again TwinShodow for your help and trouble.
Some people are not ment to be on the computer.
Thanks Again
I can't get it to work , so I don't need it but thanks anyway.
Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
